JANUARY 2018 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: NICOLE CAMPBELL!

HideOut Family! Get to know your January 2018 Member Spotlight, Nicole Campbell! Abby and I have known Nicole for about 4 years now. She is literally one of the nicest humans you will ever meet. She is so motivating, encouraging, and sweet to everyone. She works so very hard, and it is very apparent. We are lucky to have you in our lives Nicole! Thanks to you, Bob, Sophia and Emma for spending your days with us. We love ya!

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

Deptford, NJ but I now live in East Greenwich

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING CROSSFIT?

4 years

WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO CROSSFIT HIDEOUT?

Abby :) I loved having her as a coach at another box so when I found out she was opening a new box I decided to drop in. I loved it from the start.

WHAT CLASSES DO YOU USUALLY ATTEND?

5:30 or 6:30 and any weekend classes I can get to.

WHAT DO YOU DO OUTSIDE OF CROSSFIT?

The two things that take up most of my time are my job and spending time with my family. I teach first grade in Deptford and I love it. Nights and weekends consist of spending as much time as I can with my family whether it's watching Sophia's and Emma's games, fun day trips, or travelling. I also enjoy running in my free time in addition to Crossfit.

WHAT IS ONE THING WE MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU?

When I first started Crossfit, I was terrified. Absolutely terrified...tears and all. Now, I can't imagine my life without it.

WHAT IS YOUR SPIRIT ANIMAL?

A dolphin

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CROSSFIT MOVEMENT?

Clean and Jerk; Wall Balls

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT IN CROSSFIT SO FAR?

Pull-ups and double unders because both took a lot of time and practice.

WHAT IS ONE SHORT TERM GOAL & LONG TERM GOAL?

A short term goal would be to get kipping pull-ups. I have the swing and I have the pull-ups....I just can't put them both together yet. A long term goal would be kipping handstand push ups.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO CRUSH THOSE GOALS?

I am so excited that we now have open gym time. I plan on working on these movements then. I also try to make all the gymnastics type WODS that Hideout has so that I can work on these skills.

WHAT MOTIVATES AND INSPIRES YOU?

Kind people. The world needs more of them :)

WHAT IS ONE TIP YOU WOULD GIVE SOMEONE NEW TO CROSSFIT HIDEOUT?

Crossfit is for everyone. There is a modification for every movement. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing because chances are they modified when they first started, too. Just show up, modify what you need, and focus on what you can do. Before you know it, you'll be doing the movements and weights you never thought you could.
