DO YOU HAVE ANY NICKNAMES? No nickname

WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Fishtown, Philly

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING CROSSFIT? Two months

WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO CROSSFIT HIDEOUT? My husband was pissed off at me because I signed him up for Crossfit without him knowing. He wanted to torture me in return so he made me come along with him.

WHAT CLASSES DO YOU USUALLY ATTEND? 5:30 Monday & Wednesday and 4:30 Friday.

WHAT DO YOU DO OUTSIDE OF CROSSFIT?

I am a wife and mom of two; Casey (13) and Addison (9…going on 29).

I am a Project Manager for a medical research company.

I volunteer at my daughter’s school quite a bit.

We spend most of our free time hanging out with our friends and family.

WHAT IS ONE THING WE MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU? I love to cook and bake.

WHAT IS YOUR SPIRIT ANIMAL? Lion

The lion is a relentless fighter in the face of life challenges. They represent courage and strength. The presence of this power animal could also mean that you are wild or difficult to control. As such, this symbolizes emotions that are difficult to manage, such as anger or fear.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CROSSFIT MOVEMENT? Anything with squats/lunges

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT IN CROSSFIT SO FAR? I can use a real box now! YAY me!

WHAT IS ONE SHORT TERM GOAL & LONG TERM GOAL? WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO CRUSH THOSE GOALS?

A short-term goal is to be able to do one pull up without the damn bands!

A long-term goal is to continue to be healthy and active so that I can keep up with my kids.

I do my best to work out daily, I am big on meal prepping for my family and we try to incorporate lots of activities into our lifestyle.

WHAT MOTIVATES AND INSPIRES YOU? Working hard and seeing results!

WHAT IS ONE TIP YOU WOULD GIVE SOMEONE NEW TO CROSSFIT HIDEOUT? Don’t be discouraged or intimidated.

I have a wife and two kids.

I am a warehouse manager.

I have always been involved in sports (i.e. softball, hockey, and football).

WHAT IS ONE THING WE MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU? I can play drums.

WHAT IS YOUR SPIRIT ANIMAL? A Dolphin

The dolphin spirit animal represents harmony and balance. Dolphins are both highly intelligent and closely in tune with their instincts, striking a balance between the two states. Dolphins are also a symbol of protection and of resurrection. Their playful nature is a reminder that everyone needs to approach life with humor and joy. People who identify with the dolphin are usually peaceful and gentle, but with a deep inner strength.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CROSSFIT MOVEMENT? Back squat or anything that DOESN’T involve cardio

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT IN CROSSFIT SO FAR? Doing pull-ups without a band

WHAT IS ONE SHORT TERM GOAL & LONG TERM GOAL? WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO CRUSH THOSE GOALS?

My short term goal is to trim my midsection.

My long term goal is to work on a six pack.

I show up to Crossfit three times a week.

WHAT IS ONE TIP YOU WOULD GIVE SOMEONE NEW TO CROSSFIT HIDEOUT? Hide in the corner and don’t ask Abby how much weight you should lift!
