I have been an athlete my whole life. I played soccer through college, then went through phases with big box gyms, group fitness classes, yoga and working out at home for a long time. I kept coming back to yoga in a bunch of different forms, but nothing else really stuck. About three years ago, a friend convinced me to try an early morning small group fitness class she was starting. Within 6 months, I ended up at her CrossFit gym and was hooked.
I became more consistent with my yoga practice after finding CrossFit because yoga is the perfect complement to all of the mental and physical intensity of CrossFit. A little over two years into my CrossFit journey, I can say for sure that yoga has made a big difference in my workouts and recovery. I have been at HideOut for just over a year since we moved to Mullica Hill. Right after we moved, I started my 200 hour yoga teacher training. Since finishing my training, I have started teaching in a variety of settings and have the best time doing it. I especially love bringing yoga to people who are new to it and helping them see how much it can help in the other things they love to do.
