CrossFit HideOut's 2019 Open Season

CrossFit Open 2019 @ CrossFit HideOut It’s that time of the year again folks! The CrossFit Games Open Season begins February 21st and continues for 5 weeks. So what exactly is the CrossFit Games open? The open is an online worldwide competition to find the fittest athletes in the world. The top athletes out of the open go to the CrossFit Games. Each week for 5 weeks, a workout is announced on Thursday at 8pm on the CrossFit Games website. You have until Monday at 5pm to submit your workout if you sign up officially. So why are we doing the Open at CrossFit HideOut? Because we are a CrossFit Community and it is what we do! The Open is a great time to test your fitness to see where you are at and to push yourself more than you would on a normal basis. We also have a frickin good time! What is the Open Schedule going to look like at HideOut? Friday Nights at CrossFit HideOut We will be hosting our very own Friday Night Lights at CrossFit HideOut! These will start after the 6pm class and we will be doing the open workouts in heats. ANY MEMBER is welcome to participate whether you are doing the open officially or not. If you are signed up officially you will need a judge. We will have you will sign up for a heat time, warm-up and cool down on your own and have an awesome time cheering everyone on! You can come just to hang out as well. Drinks and food maybe had afterward as well. Class on Friday’s The open workouts will be our Friday class workouts. If you are officially signed up for the CrossFit Open and doing class, you will need a judge and this makes it challenging to run an time efficient and quality class. If you need a judge during class you will need to ask a fellow classmate as coaches need to make sure they are coaching. Moral of the story, try and come on Friday nights! **SAVE THE DATE- March 15th we will have Vigorous Apparel joining up for the night** For those not in attendance on Fridays but want to do the Open workouts If you cannot come Friday but want to do the Open workouts, you can do the open workouts anytime until Monday. If you officially sign up, you have until Monday at 5pm to submit it so you need to do it before then. You can schedule with a fellow classmate or me to judge you at anytime during that time period. To schedule a time please e-mail abby@crossfithideout.com. Thursday Night Viewing: Feb 21st For the 1st workout, we will be having a viewing party at 8pm on Thursday Feb 21st. This will be BYOB, BYOSnack. Come out and see what’s in store for us for the first workout in the 2019 CrossFit Open! Summary Open workouts get announced Thursday at 8pm. If you sign up they need to be submitted before Monday at 5pm. We are doing the workouts on Friday and Friday night any member is welcome to come! Bring food, drinks, and friends Friday night!
